Sunday August 23, 2020 “Healed to Die”

2 Kings 8:10-11 And Elisha said to him, “Go, say to him, ‘You shall certainly recover.’ However the LORD has shown me that he will really die.” 11 Then he set his countenance in a stare until he was ashamed; and the man of God wept.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America.

Elisha proclaimed healing for king Ben Hadad abut he also said that the king would surely die. I guess that is the case for all of us unless Jesus meets us in the air first. But the king was not a good guy. So he would die a premature death. Pray in agreement with me on these three prayer points tonight:

Prayer Focus #1 Pray that the Church (God’s people) will exercise the gifts of the Spirit like Elisha did in speaking forth the word of God for Ben Hadad. Those who are in influential places with leaders in America can bring the truth of God in an increasingly deceived world.
Prayer Focus #2 Healed to die. There always is a purpose for the good and bad in life. God would show His power by healing the king and then execute judgement for the king was evil. Pray that God’s people will understand that prayers are being answered and it might be a 2 step process for His perfect will to be done on the earth. America’s challenges are great but in God’s time and ways we can overcome by faith.
Prayer Focus #3 Interesting to know that what made 1 man stare aimlessly and be ashamed caused another man to weep. Pray that what God reveals at times will not be taken wrong by His people and people in authority (like the king). God’s ways are higher than our ways. We must rightly divide God’s truth and follow it when it sounds good and not so good.
