We Are The People

2 Kings 8:23-24 Now the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 24 So Joram rested with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the City of David. Then Ahaziah his son reigned in his place.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight. We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

King Joram had to deal with revolution and war during his time of leadership among God’s people. He went to the grave in the city of David and all that the king did was recorded in the book of the chronicles of the kings. Using this information as a guide let us pray today for our nation and our leaders.

Prayer Focus #1 Pray that our nation will realize that we are in the midst of a revolution in America that must come to an end swiftly. We see that what is going on in our cities is not first amendment rights – it is anarchy and threatening to our good and devoted citizens who have rights that are being violated by violent protestors.
Prayer Focus #2 Pray that our leaders and judges will know that there is recorded in God’s book all of their actions they take as overseers. They will stand before God one day and the book will be open and reveal what they have and have not done to serve God as a leader of men. Pray that those who are disregarding God’s Word will be convicted and change their ways while there is yet time.
Prayer Focus #3 Joram died and he was buried with his father in the City of David. Pray that our leaders and judges will realize that as all human beings, they will die or finish their term of office and another person will serve in their position.
As Joram was buried with the Fathers in the city of David, may our current leaders desire to be among the great leaders of America’s past and so order their lives and leadership responsibilities so they might be recognized as one of our great Fathers in years to come.
