We Are The People

2 Kings 9:4-5  ⁴ So the young man, the servant of the prophet, went to Ramoth Gilead. ⁵ And when he arrived, there were the captains of the army sitting; and he said, “I have a message for you, Commander.”  Jehu said, “For which one of us?”  And he said, “For you, Commander.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Elisha received an important message from God and Jehu must receive it for the entire nation will be impacted as a result of the message.

We have heard that this November’s election will be the most important in our lifetime.  God alone knows what could happen over the next 4 years if the wrong person fills the positions by vote on Nov. 3.  We also have a Supreme Court Justice to be nominated and approved by Congress.

Given the fact that we face these very important situations, let us follow the following prayer focus items.

Prayer Focus #1  The servant, a young man, went to the place where he was told to go by the Prophet Elisha.  Pray that young men and women Christian believers across America will go to people they know who are influencers that will take the message of heaven to those who will have a desire to know the truth and vote accordingly on Nov. 3 and convince other young people to do the same.

Prayer Focus #2   There was a group of military leaders with Jehu when the young man arrived at Ramoth Gilead.  I am sure it was very intimidating for the servant.  Pray that as the Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy not to be afraid or timid that young people with proper values will boldly share the word of God with people who need to hear and know the truth before the November elections.

Prayer Focus #3   The young messenger brought the message from God.  Jehu did not realize there would be a message for him.  Pray that “Commanders” or leaders will have an ear to hear God concerning their future roles and not despise the age or any other metric of the messenger.  It is the message that counts.
