2 Kings 9:30  Now when Jehu had come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she put paint on her eyes and adorned her head, and looked through a window.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Jehu came to the place where Jezebel, one who had a usurping spirit, could be found.  It sounds like Jezebel was dressing up for Halloween, painting her face and putting on a fancy hat.  She must have thought she was dressed to impress or trying to hide behind her costume.

Here are 3 Prayer focus points to agree in prayer this evening just 2 days before national and local elections:

Prayer Focus #1  Jehu was coming to town and Jezebel got word.  Pray that there will be some new leaders who, like Jehu, will come to town and turn things right side up and that those like Jezebel possess a usurping spirit will get word that their days are numbered on November 3.

Prayer Focus #2  Jezebel did things that could make her unrecognizable.  She painted her eyes and wore a fancy hat.  Pray that voters in this home stretch will see through the disguise many wear today to hide their real beliefs and agendas that are anti God and anti American.

Prayer Focus #3  Jezebel looked through a window and saw what and who was coming.  The “window” in those days was a “hole in the wall.” Pray that people who are looking through a hole in the wall at those coming to restore justice will realize that “the hole in the wall” they have lived behind is coming to an end.  Pray that their hearts will be shaken as they are confronted with truth and their darkened spirits have been exposed.
