Tuesday Nov. 3, 2020 “Who is on my side?”
2 Kings 9:30-32 Now when Jehu had come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she put paint on her eyes and adorned her head, and looked through a window. 31 Then, as Jehu entered at the gate, she said, “Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of your master?” 32 And he looked up at the window, and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” So two or three eunuchs looked out at him.
This seems like a day of reckoning in our bible text on this election day 2020 in America. Jezebel, who is a usurper of authority in the land, accuses Jehu of murder. Jehu looks up to where she is with a last minute challenge, “Who is on my side?” and 2 or three look down at Jehu signifying their “vote” was for Jehu. Pray that this election day people will hear the voice that calls out from heaven saying, “I put one down and raise one up.” If believers listen to the voice of God and vote, God’s will shall be done as a result of the elections.
