We Are The People

2 Kings 10:16  Then he said, “Come with me, and see my zeal for the Lord.” So they had him ride in his chariot. 

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Jehu was on a roll.  He was destroying the works of the enemy of the nation. Yesterday we saw that Jehonadab was invited into Jehu’s journey as a “freedom fighter” for the people of God. Today we will see Jehu’s response to Jehonadab’s desire to join forces to rid the land of the evil influences of Ahab and Jezebel.  Join me in the following three focus points of prayer:

Prayer Focus #1 Jehu invited Jehonadab, “Come with me”. Sounds like Jesus’ words “Come follow me”.  Pray that true Patriots in American politics will have wisdom in inviting others to join them in the battle for the soul of the nation.

Prayer Focus #2  Jehu’s zeal was not for the nation as much as it was for the Lord of the nation.  Pray for those who have a great zeal for America to have a greater zeal for God and His righteousness to be restored in the land.  Faith in God must be the foundation of the mission even as our founding Father’s established.

Prayer Focus #3  When it was established that Jehonadab was of a kindred and zealous spirit as Jehu had, he got to see the spirit of God at work.  Pray that  those who are offered the right hand of fellowship will see the zeal of the Lord even as the Apostles saw the zeal of the Lord that was on Jesus as He destroyed the works of the devil.
