Thursday December 24, 2020 “Christmas Eve”
Luke 2:4-5 “Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child.”
We will take a break from our prayer scriptures in 2 Kings for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day prayer. Joseph had some interesting words from heaven concerning Mary’s pregnancy and then he had to make the trip to Bethlehem for the census which included taxes. Then came Christmas Eve and Mary is in labor prior to giving birth.
It seems there are so many things that can happen on Christmas Eve: snow, people getting sick, family dynamics when they get together and a hundred other problems can arise.
Pray that our fellow Americans will be safe as they come and go this Christmas Eve. We have had so many difficulties this year. May God protect His own as they come and go this Christmas eve. People need a break.
