Wednesday January 6, 2021 “Modern Jehosheba”
2 Kings 11:2 “2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were being murdered; and they hid him and his nurse in the bedroom, from Athaliah, so that he was not killed.”
God always has a remnant who can change the situation to be in favor of the Kingdom of God. Jochabed of old spared the life of the great deliverer Moses, her son. Mary and Joseph took Jesus to Egypt and here the last hope of Israel, little Joash, was kept safe by a woman of God; Jehosheba.
Joash was “hidden.” Pray that future leaders will be “hidden” from the spirit of this age by godly men and women who are defenders of the faith in America. There are many voices that sound good but the end of their work is destruction. Pray that God will raise up men and women who will “hide” their children in the truth of God that alone is our hope as a people in America.
