2 Kings 11:15 “And Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of the hundreds, the officers of the army, and said to them, “Take her outside under guard, and slay with the sword whoever follows her.” For the priest had said, “Do not let her be killed in the house of the Lord.”

Athaliah had caused much trouble in the land and this would be her day of reckoning. She accused God’s rightful heir to the throne of treason. Actually she was guilty of the crime.

Jehoiada the priest had Athaliah ushered out of the Temple by the guards. Pray that those who are charged with keeping America under the government of God will execute their duties faithfully in keeping America governed under godly principles. As Athaliah the wicked queen was purged from her position may there be a purging in our land of those who constantly accuse but they themselves are continually guilty of those things they accuse others of doing.
