We Are The People

 2 Kings 12:18 “And Jehoash king of Judah took all the sacred things that his fathers, Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own sacred things, and all the gold found in the treasuries of the house of the Lord and in the king’s house, and sent them to Hazael king of Syria. Then he went away from Jerusalem.”

Jehoash gave his own sacred things to the heathen king of Syria, Hazael. Yesterday we saw that there is great loss when foundations of God and man’s worth in the establishment of a nation is bad. To give away what is added to a government that maintains order and righteousness is even worse.

Jehoash, due to fear of the approaching enemy, gave all that he had brought to Judah that was good into the hands of Hazael. Pray that leaders in America will do what is right in God’s eyes-keeping those godly principles they bring with them and not compromising in fear of political loss to unrighteous leaders that bring anti-God policy to the nation.
