2 Kings 12:18 “And Jehoash king of Judah took all the sacred things that his fathers, Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own sacred things, and all the gold found in the treasuries of the house of the Lord and in the king’s house, and sent them to Hazael king of Syria. Then he went away from Jerusalem.”

On Thursday and Friday, we looked at how Jehoash gave away the good that was gathered by himself as king and by his forefathers. Today we see that he gave away all of the gold in the House of the Lord and the king’s house.

The king’s house is only enriched when the Lord’s House is in order and secure. Pray today that the Lord’s house will thrive in what is right so the nation’s “gold” will not be given away or lost due to unbiblical policies that create an environment of fear resulting in a “give away” policy that threatens the entire nation.
