We Are The People

“Then the Lord gave Israel a deliverer, so that they escaped from under the hand of the Syrians; and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents as before.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Yesterday we saw that in verse 4 that God listened to king Jehoahaz because the children of Israel were under severe oppression. Now the Lord answers by sending a deliverer. Moses was a deliverer, so was Gideon and Deborah. Let us find three prayer points in this verse that we can agree upon tonight in intercession for America.

Prayer Focus #1 Pray that God will raise up some statesmen in America who will lead with integrity and work toward freedom from oppression due to financial burdens, health issues and prejudice.

Prayer Focus #2 Israel escaped from the hand of Syria, the oppressor. Pray that God’s people will find a way to escape from the hand of the oppressor through prayer and total dependence on God and His ways that lead to life more abundant.

Prayer Focus #3 The children of Israel were at peace in their homes. Pray that Americans will return to a place of peace and comfort as we return to a more normal life after the COVID pandemic passes. COVID has been very oppressive -freedom from the burden will bring the best and the worst out of people. Keep sweet!
