Monday April 5, 2021 “Go The Extra Mile”

2 Kings 13:18 “Then he said, “Take the arrows”; so he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, “Strike the ground”; so he struck three times, and stopped.”

First the Prophet said “shoot arrows” now he says to take some and strike the ground with them. He did that three times and stopped. Now the King did not know how many times to strike the arrow to the ground. Knowing the intense spirit Elisha possessed -“a double portion”- perhaps the king should have done more than just minimum.

Let us pray for all our leaders and government workers in America will go beyond, “the minimum daily requirement’ and go the extra mile in service to America.
