Sunday April 18, 2021 “Transition Challenges”

2 Kings 13:24-25

“24 Now Hazael king of Syria died. Then Ben-Hadad his son reigned in his place. 25 And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz recaptured from the hand of Ben-Hadad, the son of Hazael, the cities which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Three times Joash defeated him and recaptured the cities of Israel.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Transitions are always difficult times and Syria and Israel each had their share. Hazael of Syria was a bad dude, but his son Ben-Hadad was worse. Tonight, we will pray according to the following focus points for America in transition.

Prayer Focus #1 Pray for the continued transition of power in America. It seems that many of the predictions made by the previous administration in Washington are turning out to be spot on concerning the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prayer Focus #2 Cities were recaptured by Joash, the king of Israel, which were held by Syria. Pray that cities in America that are being ravaged by COVID and violent, lawless people will be won back into the hands of good, godly men and women who have a heart for America without their own private agendas, political and otherwise.

Prayer Focus #3 Joash had been told by the Prophet Elisha in v. 18-19 that because he only struck arrows to the ground three times that it will be a half-done battle with Syria. Pray that the powers will be a resource to our military as it deserves and make decisions that will keep all enemies at a distance. We must continue to make right decisions that will not empower our enemies to be aggressors on the world stage.
