We Are The People

2 Kings 14:2-3 “² He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem. ³ And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, yet not like his father David; he did everything as his father Joash had done.”

Amaziah the king of Judah was not perfect, but he did some things right in God’s eyes we are told in verse 3. In verse 2, we find something we don’t always find in scripture. The name of the king’s mother is noted. She must have been a good influence on Amaziah. Let us join our hearts in prayer today that we will see a generation of godly mothers who will raise up godly sons and daughters who can influence and change America for the better.
