We Are The People

2 Kings 14: 4 “⁴ However the high places were not taken away, and the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.”

In the previous verse, we are told that Amaziah did good, but he didn’t go as far as David did in leading the people of God. David was never an idolator. Idolatry is putting anything before God. The Apostle Paul wrote that covetousness is like idolatry. Pray that the church in America will lead the way in showing fellow Americans that we are not people who covet things, position or honor. We are those who Jesus said the greatest will serve others.
