Sunday May 2, 2021 “Stay Home”

2 Kings 14:10

“You have indeed defeated Edom, and your heart has lifted you up. Glory in that, and stay at home; for why should you meddle with trouble so that you fall—you and Judah with you?”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Judah had defeated the Moabites in battle, and they became “too big for their britches.” Judah’s enemy was no longer Moab. Judah’s number 1 was now within them – pride – and pride can be very destructive. So, let’s pray tonight according to the following 3 prayer points:

Prayer Focus #1 Instead of Judah’s hands lifted in praise to God for victory they chose to lift up their hearts in pride. Pray that America will stay for from pride that can destroy us from within.

Prayer Focus #2 “Glory in your small victory and remain at home Judah,” was the advice of Jehoash king of Israel. There is a time to listen to your brother. Pray that our leaders in Washington will have wisdom in how to know when we must stay at home and when to enter into conflict for righteousness sake only.

Prayer Focus #3 Amaziah was told not to meddle with trouble. If you do, you and your country will fall. Pray that America will not meddle with trouble that can cause only a leader but also their nation to collapse.
