2 Kings 15:8-9 “⁸ In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria six months. ⁹ And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, as his fathers had done; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who had made Israel sin.”

Zechariah reigned is Israel for only 6 months. A very short time. The mention of him doing evil leads us to believe that had something to do with his short reign. We read repeatedly that kings did evil like their fathers. It seemed that God’s patience runs out and He cut short leaders terms of office.

Pray today that the hand of God will put down operations of evil doers in America as God’s Spirit ceases to strive with generations of those who do evil in God’s sight.
