Sunday May 30, 2021“Dealing With Conspirators”
2 Kings 15:13-15
13 Shallum the son of Jabesh became king in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria. 14 For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, came to Samaria, and struck Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria and killed him; and he reigned in his place. 15 Now the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the conspiracy which he led, indeed they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. There is always someone else who will follow a leader in a nation. America is no exception, even when people feel so secure in their position.
Shallum conspired against and killed Zechariah. Shallum because of his deed, was killed by Menahem. Aren’t you glad you aren’t a king? Let’s take a shot at 3 prayer focus points tonight.
Prayer Focus #1 Menahem struck Shallum and killed him. Shallum had a conspiracy against Menahem. The conspiracy was successful but it seems that God doesn’t like conspiracies so there was swift retribution. Pray that conspirators at the highest level in America’s government and agencies be revealed and dealt with.
Prayer Focus #2 Pray that as Menahem was elevated to reign in Israel after his dealing with Shallum that people who deal with conspiracies in America will be elevated due to their righteous acts.
Prayer Focus #3 We have heard much of conspiracies in the past year and longer. Pray that truth will be recorded in the in respect to these conspiracies and the conspirators. Fake news will produce flawed views of the past that will produce a flawed America in the days to come.
