Wednesday June 16, 2021 “Danger of Covetousness”

2 Kings 16:4 “And he sacrificed and burned incense on the high places, on the hills, and under every green tree.”

This verse describes idolatrous activity. The New Testament teaches that covetousness is like idolatry. There is so much that creates and increases covetousness in the heart of man. From digital devices to lotteries, and on and on we are bombarded by advertisements and availability of things we do not necessarily need but “everyone” has one, so we feel entitled to have it too, so we work hard to get things and there is a priority shift from God to things.

Pray that God’s people in America will focus on one True God worship and stay clear of “idolatrous” pursuits.
