Tuesday June 22, 2021 “Killed and Captive”
2 Kings 16:9 “9 So the king of Assyria heeded him; for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus and took it, carried its people captive to Kir, and killed Rezin.”
Not only did Ahaz take from the treasuries of the palace and the house of God as we see in verse 8. We see in verse 9 the result was people being killed and some taken captive.
Let us pray today that there will not be “deals” made like this with other countries by our leaders. America is a nation set apart by God to free people to serve God freely- not to enslave or take life from them.
