2 Kings 16:13 “¹³ So he burned his burnt offering and his grain offering; and he poured his drink offering and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings on the altar.”

King Ahaz offered the grain offering that was part of thanksgiving to God for His provision was offered on a heathen altar. This shifted gratitude from the one true God to an idol. People and programs can become the object of our gratitude instead of the creator. Pray that our national focus will not be placed on people and programs but on the Lord who is our Jehovah Jireh, Great Provider.
