Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

First off, Happy Independence Day! May our hearts focus on the one true God who placed it in the hearts of men to be free to worship Him and be governed by His laws in this land of the free and home of the brave. Our text today finds the King commanding the Priest how to worship, when to worship and King Ahaz having the place of a priest who inquires of God.

Prayer Focus #1 Pray that America will never come to the place where government tells God’s people how they will worship. Pray that the separation of church and state will be interpreted correctly.

Prayer Focus #2 The king told the priest you can worship in the morning and the evening and what you will do at that time. Pray that there will be no government interference with worship like what happened in the Book of Daniel. We must speak the same voice today as Moses did to Pharoah, “Let my people go!”

Prayer Focus #3 Ahaz wanted the privilege of inquiring of God at the bronze altar. Whenever Israel’s kings usurped the Lord’s anointed trouble came upon the land. Pray that as there is separation of powers in Government, executive, legislative and judicial there will be no intrusion of Christian liberty by Governmental over reach
