We Are The People

2 Kings 17:15 “And they rejected His statutes and His covenant that He had made with their fathers, and His testimonies which He had testified against them; they followed idols, became idolaters, and went after the nations who were all around them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them that they should not do like them.”

God’s people were surrounded by neighboring nations that were idolaters for generations. God warned, “Don’t be like that.” The best way to keep the influence of idolaters from capturing our heart is to fully in love with Jesus. Pray today that we, God’s people will return to a first love mentality regarding Christ. This will keep our hearts from wandering.
