We Are The People

2 Kings 17:21 “²¹ For He tore Israel from the house of David, and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king. Then Jeroboam drove Israel from following the Lord, and made them commit a great sin.”

God was fed-up with Israel and He rejected them we are told verse 20. Here is verse 21 we are told that God tore Israel from the house of David. Israel struck a nerve with God for the Lord to go to such a drastic measure. God saw David as a man after His own heart and he had hoped that all of His descendants would have the same heart. As God looked upon His people Israel He saw sin and rebellion.
Pray today that God will see some in America with a heart like our founding fathers who loved liberty more than life. Ask for God’s favor upon people with a right heart and extend His hand of mercy and grace upon those of a kindred spirit with our fore-father.
