Sunday August 22, 2021 “Careful Who You Bring In”

2 Kings 17:24

“Then the king of Assyria brought people from Babylon, Cuthah, Ava, Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel; and they took possession of Samaria and dwelt in its cities.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Not only did God’s people endure the removal from their familiar God given land; others were brought into the land God promised to His people.

Prayer Focus #1 A heathen king brought in people who had other gods. Pray for God’s protection over unlearned Christians and unbelievers that could be easy prey for those who are “evangelists” for other gods or their ungodly teachings.

Prayer Focus #2 Those who were brought into the cities of Samaria by the king of Assyria replaced the children of Israel. Pray that the city fathers in America will protect their city from those who would desire to change the culture in their jurisdiction to an ungodly, lawless environment and that good law-abiding citizens will protect their city through community involvement and political action.

Prayer Focus #3 Those foreign to Israel took over in Samaria. How sad that the land given to His people was turned over to the devil’s crowd. Pray that God’s people will defend their rights and their land against squatters and usurpers. Freedom cost many people their lives. We must defend the freedoms and system of law we have.
