Sunday September 19, 2021 “When the Lord is With You”

2 Kings 18:7

“The Lord was with him; he prospered wherever he went. And he rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

This verse refers back to King Hezekiah. The Bible tells us he was one who did right in God’s sight, tore down idols, trusted in God and held fast to the God of the Bible doing all that the Lord commanded Moses. Because of these things, the Lord was with Hezekiah, God prospered him and He rebelled against the king of Assyria and refused to serve the enemy of the people of God.

Prayer Focus #1 “The Lord was with Hezekiah. This is what Moses refused to do without – having the Lord be with him. Pray that our leaders will have that same desire – that God be with them and unselfishly – that God be with America. Without His presence and blessing, we will never experience God’s best blessings.

Prayer Focus #2 God prospered Hezekiah wherever he went. Pray that there will be wise decision making in budget and special spending at the Federal and State levels that will help America prosper. God blesses good stewardship of what He has blessed us with as a nation.

Prayer Focus #3 King Hezekiah rebelled against the enemy and did not allow the nation to serve them. Pray that we as a nation will not serve our enemies and rebel against the attempts of other nations to create an environment where we are indebted to them. The Bible tells us that under the blessings of God we are to be those who lend and not borrow for the one who borrows is in servitude to the lender.
