Monday October 4, 2021 “A Broken Super-Power”
2 Kings 18:21 “Now look! You are trusting in the staff of this broken reed, Egypt, on which if a man leans, it will go into his hand and pierce it. So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him.”
Egypt was a “super-power” in those days like America is today. The King of Assyria sent the message to Hezekiah – “You cannot trust Egypt to help you for they were like a broken reed that nations could scoff at and tell other nations that we cannot be of help then because we are broken financially.
