We Are The People

2 Kings 19:10  ¹⁰ “Thus you shall speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying: ‘Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, “Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”

The enemy of good and God always attempts to deceive leaders into doing what is not right in God’s eyes.  Here we find servants of the king bearing a false report. Pray that newly elected officials will have discernment in determining the source of reports received even from the hands of trusted servants.
