Friday November 19, 2021 “Mercy”
2 Kings 19:15 “15 Then Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and said: “O Lord God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.”
The king addressed the Lord as the God who dwells between the cherubim. This describes the Ark of the Covenant that had cherubim on both ends of the Ark that overshadowed the presence of the Lord among His people. Between the ark and the angels was the Mercy Seat. Pray that tour nation will acknowledge the fact that it is “because of God’s mercy we are not consumed.” We don’t heed justice, we need mercy in these days of distress.
