Wednesday December 29, 2021 “Terminator”
2 Corinthians 5:14 “14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;”
As we ease out of 2021 and enter the new year, let us be reminded of God’s plan in Chris to eliminate the power of the old life and the power of the new life God offers in Christ.
“If one (Jesus) died for all, then all died.” The power of one life crucified. The Gospels tell us, “it is expedient for one to die that the nation survive.”
Only in dying is there the possibility for a new life. this is true with a seed. Unless it dies, it will never burst open, die and bring forth new life.
Pray that as we close the door on 2021 that we will see ourselves dead with Christ. This is active termination of the self-life: Galatians 2:20 “ I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” The terminator is the cross.
