March 20, 2022 “Affirming the Saints”

2 Corinthians 8:22

“And we have sent with them our brother whom we have often proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, because of the great confidence which we have in you.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Paul’s letter to the church at Corinth was definitely challenging at times but also very affirming. Tonight, we will join our hearts in prayer concerning the following three prayer focus points:

Prayer Focus Point #1: Paul said he sent people who had proven diligent in the work of God. Pray that in these days when time and finances are becoming more and more precious that churches and ministries will have discerning hearts when they approve workers who will be supported by many previous saints.

Prayer Focus Point #2: Paul wrote that the person who was a trusted servant that helped in the ministry had become more diligent as time went on. Pray tonight that God’s servants who are paid by God’s people will become more diligent in their duties as they serve longer in ministry making them more valuable to the work of God.

Prayer Focus Point #3: Paul wrote that he had great confidence in the saints at Corinth. In that, Paul was very affirming of the church. Pray that there would be more of God’s people who will have encouraging words for the church.
