2 Corinthians 9:7 “⁷ So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of ^[a]necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

The attitude of one’s heart is so important. Even as we see here in giving, God does not look so much at the amount as He does the motive for giving. The Lord doesn’t want us to have the attitude “I don’t want to” or “I feel forced to” when helping those in need. The preferred way Paul writes is to help others with a cheerful heart. Pray that America and the churches in our country will never lose that willing and generous attitude toward helping those in need.
