Mark 3:32-35

32 And a multitude was sitting around Him; and they said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers [a]are outside seeking You.”33 But He answered them, saying, “Who is My mother, or My brothers?” 34 And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! 35 For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

People were trying to bring to Jesus’ attention that his mother was looking for him. This probably reminded him of when he was 12 years old, and his mother looked everywhere and found Him in the temple. Jesus’ response to his followers -first who is my mother? Let’s jump in now to the answer. America needs more mothers.

Prayer Focus Point #1: Jesus told the disciples those gathered around His teaching is my mother. Pray that women across America will begin to gather around the word of God and listen to truth and live it and be an example to other women in their circles of influence.

Prayer Focus Point #2: Jesus said the one who do the will of God is my mother. Pray that women of God will become mothers of the faith in our churches and teach the younger how to be women of God.

Prayer Focus Point #3: Pray a blessing over the mothers of America who need encouragement in these days when it is not the easiest day to raise a family. But they can do all things through Christ.
