We Are The People

2 Corinthians 12:9 . ⁹ And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Paul called on God three times to be set free from the thorn in the flesh that hindered his life and ministry. Some say it was an eye disease, others say it was those who stirred up trouble for Paul whenever he went preaching the Gospel. In the Hebrew scriptures that view is supported, telling us that Israel’s enemies who were not destroyed became thorns in their flesh.

Pray that Christians as a group and individually and as a nation will see that we truly need God to shed His grace upon us. Grace is more than unmerited favor it is God’s operational power working in and through us.
