Sunday, August 21, 2022 “Back to the Constitution”
Genesis 15:3-4
3 Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!”4 And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.”
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. In verse 3, it seems that Abram was ready to accept Eliezer as God’s promised heir, but God quickly imposes His will upon the Patriarch in verse 4, telling Abram “I have not changed may plans and purposes.”
Prayer Focus Point #1: Pray that there will be a restoration of a hope and future for America according to the blessing of our God – inspired constitution. We must not settle for anything less like Abram seemed to be willing to do in verse 3 of our text.
Prayer Focus Point #2: In verse 4, God is saying to Abram – “No less than my original intent you will inherit a land and inhabit it. Pray that the many leaders in America who have sworn to uphold and defend our constitution will do so in these days of compromise that settles for less than the best. The best can be yet to come as America returns to her roots.
Prayer Focus Point #3: God told Abram that as I at first determined to bless you, I will enable you to bring forth from your own body. Pray today that as we have so much that can yet come as we stay true to our constitution that we will jettison ideas of Globalism and One World Government.
