We Are The People

Genesis 15:9-11

⁹ So He said to him, “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” ¹⁰ Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two. ¹¹ And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Obviously, the ritual will conclude with a burn offering sacrifice that will seal the covenant between God and Abram. Let us find 3 points to agree on in prayer this evening as we approach God’s throne of grace.

Prayer Focus Point #1: God was specific in His instructions to Abram. Let us pray that the church will listen carefully to God’s voice during these unusual days we live in so we might do the will of God that will protect us and help us lead the way for our nation to return to God.

Prayer Focus Point #2: The Bible tells that vultures came to devour the animal and bird carcasses. This is a type of demonic spirit – vultures that attempt to disrupt God’s people to keep them from focusing on the hope and future God promises us like the vultures did to Abram. Pray that God’s people in America will acknowledge the fact that Satan will not go down without a fight and we must be vigilant to recognize the wiles of the devil.

Prayer Focus Point #3: Abraham drove away the vultures that were sent from hell to keep God from confirming His covenant with Abram which would ultimately result in the Messiah Jesus Christ coming in the flesh to save us from our sins. Pray that we who are the Body of Christ will engage in spiritual warfare that will drive away demonic spirits that are attempting to derail God’s plans for America in these days leading up to the second coming of Christ.
