Friday September 9, 2022 “Decisions of Convenience”

Genesis 16:1-2 “Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar. So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the Lord has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall [a]obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.”

We who know the “rest of the story” know that the end of this story is still not over. The descendants of Hagar’s child Ishmael are the enemy of Sarai’s child, Isaac, who was yet to come. Pray that decisions of convenience and quick fix that come with enormous payback will not be adopted as norm for political advantage.
