We Are The People

Genesis 18:21-22

²¹ I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”²² Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the Lord.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the focus point listed below as a guide. God had heard the outcry concerning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and He checked it out for Himself. Abraham stood before the Lord to see what would happen when God would see for Himself what it was like. Tonight, we find 3 prayer points. Join us as we pray.

Prayer Focus #1: God heard the public outcry, and He would check it out for Himself. Pray that God’s people in America would present such a public outcry against the open, prideful sin in the land that God will look at the unrighteousness and deal with the hearts of men whose bend is to sinful behavior continually.

Prayer Focus #2: God said, “I will know whether the complaint of the land is valid or not.” Pray that the Lord will bring conviction of sin to the rebellious hearts of men and women. That conviction will come as the church walks in the light and reveals that darkness and shadows of a culture that has walked away from God and truth. God says, “I will know.”

Prayer Focus #3: While the three strangers went toward Sodom, Abraham stood before God. Pray that the righteous will stand before God in uprightness of heart and not stand in the path of sinners nor sit in the seat of the scornful or walk in the counsel of the ungodly as Psalm 1 exhorts us.
