Genesis 21:7-8

⁷ She also said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.”⁸ So the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the same day that Isaac was weaned.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the focus point listed below as a guide. In verse 6, we learned that God’s blessing of a child in her elder years made her laugh. Then Sarah said, in not so many words, “Who would have thought I would have a child to my elderly husband Abraham?” She gave birth without problems for mothers or child. The child was weaned the Bible tells us and a feast followed. Tonight, using these verses as a guide let us find three focal points of prayer on which to agree in intercession.

Prayer Focus #1: Verse 7, tells us that it was a very unusual thing that brought forth Isaac the son of promise into the world since Abraham and Sarah were older. Pray that some unusual, unexplainable miracles will happen in America that will be so unusual that people (even scoffers) will have to admit there is a miracle working God.

Prayer Focus #2: In verse 8, we are told that in the course of time, Isaac was weaned from his mother’s breast and he began to eat solid food. Pray that our leaders in America will now up to the place they move on from the milk of fearing man to the place of eating solid food such as fearing God and pleasing Him more than man.

Prayer Focus #3: We are told of a celebration the day Isaac was weaned. As God works in America to wean us from the fear of man let us pray that God will give we who share a Biblical world view ways to celebrate victorious of faith God will give us as we move from the fear of God to the fear of God across America.
