Genesis 21:9 “⁹ And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, scoffing.”

In the previous verse, Isaac has a party because he has been weaned of his mother’s milk. He is beginning to “grow up” and the mother of Ishmael, Isaac’s half-brother, laughs. Sarah, Isaac’s mother, sees what is happening. pray that God’s people in America, especially our leaders, will discern when society around us is scoffing and mocking at those things we know are right and holy in God’s sight. And pray that we will know how to challenge their thoughts and attitudes toward righteousness and that the unbeliever’s hearts will receive the truth.
