Sunday, February 12, 2023 “Differences Handled Well”

Genesis 21:14 “14 So Abraham rose early in the morning and took bread and [a]a skin of water; and putting it on her shoulder, he gave it and the boy to Hagar, and sent her away. Then she departed and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

Abraham’s wife Sarah requested that he send away Hagar and her son Ishmael because she mocked her and her son Isaac. In this verse we can see attitudes and behaviors that we see in our country today. Let us find 3 prayer points for prayer tonight.

Prayer Focus #1: When there are differences, and we have many, let us pray that when these inevitable differences arise that Christian people will take the “high road” and let the devil’s crowd look foolish.

Prayer Focus #2: The differences many times in ideas that shape culture is vast. Pray that leaders will know when they should depart from positions, they hold on to certain issues like Hagar did.

Prayer Focus #3: Hagar ended up wandering in the wilderness. Pray that God’s people in America will get off the circular path in the wilderness of indecision and move in the direction of faith and the place of facilitating the promises of God becoming a reality in this land we love.

Extra Request: Pray that people, especially the players will be safe at the Superbowl, and that God will foil the plans of the enemy that would like to create havoc and fear.
