Genesis 21:17

17 And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, “What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the focus point listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

It all started when God heard the boy, Ishmael’s voice. God was then on the move. Let us agree in intercession on the following prayer points.

Prayer Focus #1: God heard the “child-like” prayer of Ishmael and then God sent a message via an angel. Pray that the church in America will approach the Lord as Jesus taught- “like a little child” in prayer. Prayers in child-like faith offered to our all-powerful God brings a response from heaven.

Prayer Focus #2: God knew the challenges that Hagar and her son faced, but he wanted Hagar to verbalize what her request was. Pray that believers here in America will not just do “our best” like Hagar did recorded in verse 15, putting her son in the shade of the bushes, but that we will seek the Lord for His best during these challenging times.

Prayer Focus #3: God’s message included one of 366 “Fear Notes” in the Bible. Pray that a spirit of “faith working by love” will drive away the fears of God’s people and cast the mountains of deception and confusion into the sea.
