Father’s Day

Malachi 4:6 “He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
With all else happening in our nation today we surely don’t need God to somehow allow curses to be released in our beloved America. The Lord instructs: Dads, have a heart for your children and children have a heart for dad. That brings us on this Father’s Day to our prayer focus.
Eph 6:1-3 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: 3 “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.” Pray that children understand in their spirits the blessing God promises to those who obey and honor their father so they and the land they live in will experience wellness and that individuals and our land continue to exist as people of destiny (to glorify God) for many more years or until Jesus returns.
– Pray that fathers will understand how to teach their children God’s ways without evoking negative responses. Many men love their children so much but don’t understand how to communicate God’s truth properly.
– Pray that Fathers and children will seek the Lord so they will love and respect one another with open honest hearts.
– Finally pray the Lord’s prayer together
