Monday July 15, 2013 “A Heaven Sent Messenger is Called”

Last week we saw that Moses was only able to see the land of promise, not enter due to his refusal to obey God completely.  Although he himself did not experience the blessings of the land promised to him and the children of Israel, he desired and prayed that God send a man. That man was Joshua, his protégé.  God buried his workman Moses, but carried on His work through Joshua. What kind of a man was Joshua?  Numbers 27:18  “18 And the Lord said to Moses: “Take Joshua the son of Nun with you, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;”  Joshua was a man chosen by God.  God knows the heart of man and He calls and sends laborers of His choosing into the fields of harvest. The fields of harvest in America are white and ready for harvest.
Can we pray together in agreement this day that all appointed and elected officials be placed in office through the Lord’s choosing.  And that when we have the opportunity to vote, that Americans will spend more time in the closet of prayer for guidance before they visit the voting booth.
