We Are The People

1 Sam 30:6 & 7   “Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

⁷ Then David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, “Please bring the ephod here to me.” And Abiathar brought the ephod to David.”

    Other versions of the Bible say that David encouraged himself in the Lord.  Everything gone and David encourages himself in God when many would take the advice of Job’s wife and curse God and die. A spirit of faith was restored to David like when he stood before the giant Goliath. Faith is how we become strong in the Lord.  Faith is increased as we pray to the God who is able to do what seems impossible. In v.8  David inquired of God.  There are many cities in America where many have lost what seems to be everything.   

    Today’s prayer can be focused upon God’s ability to restore all that is lost as people look to Him for encouragement and strength.
