We Are The People

As our children all return to school today, the day after the Labor Day holiday –let us pray that our children feel safe as they come, go, attend classes and participate in extracurricular activities this school year.

   Children should never have to fear being in a place of learning.  Administrators, Security and teachers in our school need our prayers as they work hard to create and maintain a sense of safety and security while students are under their care.

   As “back to school night” comes your way this month, let teachers know how much you appreciate them.  Get involved in P.T.O. and in other ways through volunteering for field trips and other activities where you can be a Christian example of Jesus’ love and show your support for students and leaders.

   Talk with your children about Jesus being our Good Shepherd who watches over them as they go to school every day and remember to love on them with hugs and kisses before they go to school and when they return.  And remember to let them talk to you about their day.
