Sunday September 8, 2013 “Patriot Day Week of Prayer”

Patriot Day is September 11 and if you live near Fairfax City VA, I encourage you to join the annual Prayer Walk beginning and ending at Woody’s Ice Cream 10435 North Street in Fairfax from 6-7pm EST.  There are parking lots and garages nearby.  Following the time of prayer Woody is treating all of the participants to free ice cream.  If there are no Prayer Rallies near where you live, please join our prayers of agreement Wednesday at 6pm.
Tonight, as with every Sunday evening, we join our hearts for prayers of agreement concerning our nation and our cities.  This week we remember the events of 9.11.01 in prayer as we focus on three important points of concern.  Thank you for joining us.
Focus #1 – Pray for those who carry emotional and physical scars from the horrifying terrorist acts twelve years ago.  Survivors, individuals who lost friends and family members, and first responders should be remembered in our time of intercession.  Healing and comfort will continue as we continue to pray.  If you know someone personally affected call them and let them know of our prayers.
Focus #2 – Pray that security specialists and citizens be alert to possible terrorist activities around the world on or around the anniversary date of the unprovoked attacks on September 11, 2001.  Be a Patriot and report suspicious activities or people.
Focus #3 – Pray that the Spirit of God move upon the hearts of those who have intentions to commit evil acts of violence and that they will turn away from this evil and turn to the one true God and Jesus Christ, His Son and our Savior.
