We Are The People

Tonight pray for the 3 Prayer Focuses listed below for at least 15 minutes between 6-9pm (any time zone).  Our prayers of agreement will have a powerful affect.

In Jeremiah 1:3 God asks the prophet “What do you see?”  God’s view of what is going on in the nation must be shared by those who are His children if we are to be instruments of change in America.

Jeremiah saw a boiling pot.  Surely in the Middle East and Africa we see some boiling pots in our world but are we missing the ones here in America?  When a pot boils over it leaves a mess to clean up.  Perhaps it would behoove us to pray and ask God how He sees things in our land and ask Him for some of the Rev. 3:18 “eye salve” so we can see ourselves and what is happening around us and our cities according to God’s perspective.

When we truly see what God sees, remember, He is always redemptive showing us the way to improve and redeem things that are ungodly or simply unhealthy.  He invites us to set our mind on things He reveals so we can share the true condition with others who only see the façade which can hold inside of its walls things that cannot contain that which is about to boil over.

Listen to God’s words to another Prophet in Ezekiel 40:4 “And the man said to me, “Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind on everything I show you; for you were brought here so that I might show them to you. Declare to the house of Israel everything you see.”   God gives insight to His people through words of wisdom, knowledge and discerning of spirits – may we seek the Lord so we might identify those things that have solid foundations and those that do not in our nations, cities, culture and society today and then make our voice known as the people of God.

Prayer Focus #1) Pray that Christians would truly desire to see with God’s eyes the condition of our nation’s morality and our financial footings.

Prayer Focus #2) Call upon the Lord that believers are willing to be on the right side of the issues that need to be redeemed in our day.

Prayer Focus #3) Pray that the fear of the Lord be greater than the fear of courageously sharing those things that God reveals to us through the Spirit that are those boiling pots.
