Wednesday September 18, 2013 “Remember Who it is You’re Asking”

In 1 Kings 3:5 God said to Solomon, “Ask! What shall I give you?”  Think of the One talking to Solomon.  He is the God who fills eternity, the Creator of all.  He is Holy and His nature is love.
Making the offer, God lays the wealth and the character of His Kingdom at Solomon’s feet.  Amazingly God comes to us in the same way.  He has in His possession the unsearchable riches of Christ and says, “Ask what you will.”
What’s your response to the only One who can deliver your heart’s deepest desire no matter what your request?  The Apostle James questions what and why we request things in prayer.  Do your prayers reflect the truth that God really can answer any prayer you might utter when your motives are in agreement with His will and ways on the earth?
Please be in prayer that God comfort the families of those who lost their lives at the Naval Yard on Monday and bring healing to the injured.
For many years our nation was spared such catastrophe.  It seems a hedge of protection has been breeched.  Pray that the heart of America turn back to God so that God’s protective “wall” be restored in our land.
